Chiaroscuro by Jean-Christophe Rosaz was awarded the grand prize in the solo division of the 2012 ISB/David Walter Composition Competition. It was commissioned by and is dedicated to Thierry Barbe. Evan Runyon gave the premiere at the 2013 ISB convention at the Eastman School of Music. www.jeanchristopherosaz.eu

The importance in using natural harmonics is the effect of fog (as we could us in a painting), it doesn't really matter if they are not as clear as we wish!
