Martin: Flare (PDF Part)

Andrés Martin: 

"Flare" was composed in the second half of 2024, following a commission from
the International Society of Bassists. The request was for a short, single-movement
work to serve as the required piece for the 2025 International Solo Double Bass
Competition at the ISB Convention.

I envisioned this piece as an encore, designed to highlight the virtuosity of the soloist.
While technical proficiency is important, the main focus is on creating a strong sense of
groove and energy!
