Product Description

This recording consists of a variety of double bass ensembles from duets to ensembles with as many as 13 tracks. Some of the pieces were originally written for double bass, and others such as Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Villa-Lobos’ "Aria" from Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 were transcriptions. The piece "Notes from Uncommon Ascent" was written for him by Connecticut Composer Tom Schuttenhelm specifically for this project.
