Dahlstrand: Sonata for Double bass and Piano

This 18 minute work in 3 movements explores the register of the instrument as well as its ability to really "sing". The first movement is a very flowing allegro moderato. The second uses the music of "Andante for bass and harp" and was originally written for violin. The last is an allegro furioso finishing in a fast paced and wild coda.
