Limited edition with piano part for orchestra tuning. Includes bass part.
This long-awaited piano reduction for orchestra-tuned bass is published in response to bassists who want to study and perform this popular composition. The original Schirmer Edition for solo-tuned bass has been impractical for most of today's bassists until now.
Since its premier in 1965 by Gary Karr and Seiji Ozawa with the Chicago Symphony, this composition has had at least 150 performances with orchestra, and Karr's recording with the Louisville Orchestra remains the most aired bass concerto on public radio.
